About the Editor of the Mystery Shopping Spot

The Editor has been exploring a multiple streams of income lifestyle since 1998 when she left the corporate workforce.  In 2006 her interest in mystery shopping was sparked after hearing about what some colleagues were doing successfully.  In typical fashion, she began researching and collecting every bit of information she could find to decide if it was a good fit for her.  Then she gave it a try!

Her first experiences taught her that fast food shops will fill the tummy more than the wallet, merchandising can be physically demanding even if each item weights just a few ounces, and sometimes it can take months of numerous emails and phone calls to get paid.  After this “on-the-job training”, she is a little bit more discriminating when accepting assignments.

Today your Editor still dabbles in the mystery shopping and merchandising world while working a part-time retail position and pursuing her dream of becoming a successful online entrepreneur.

Your Editor loves doing research—collecting, organizing, and analyzing information. She does this with most every new challenge, decision, or interest, including mystery shopping. While searching for answers to her own questions, she became aware that many other people were also looking for the same honest information about mystery shopping but were afraid of being scammed.
